As a licensed VDWS school we offer professional assistance for kite surfers, snow kiters and schooling those who want to learn in both summer and winter. For decades, Silvaplana has been a magnet for water sports enthusiasts from Switzerland and all over the world. The team at Swiss Kitesurf guarantee you training to the highest Swiss standards of quality and safety. Therefore the selection of our instructors and their professional competence is of highest priority. Snowkiting in Winter

In winter we are at the perfect location to fulfill all snowkiting desires. The frozen lake Silvaplana, with a lot of space and good wind is the ideal starting point. There are very few places that have restaurants, toilets and changing rooms directly at the spot. A 20 minute drive takes us to the Bernina Pass, where you can safely gain experience in mountainous terrain with us. Nowhere else in Switzerland are more great spots than here in the Engadin. Snowkiting gives you good experience and routine for kite surfing in summer as well as being a lot of fun in the snow. Our team is looking forward to many great, windy days with you!

Kitesurfing in Summer

In the middle of the mountains of the Upper Engadin at lake Silvaplana, the wind blows a constant 3 - 5 Beaufort, making it the perfect place to run a kite school.

In summer, thanks to the Maloja wind, Lake Silvaplana is one of the best places to learn kiting. With our large sandless beach (field) we have ample space to teach you the basics on land before we can safely take you into the water. The clear, clean water and the steady side-on-shore wind make it easy for you to start this sport. A team of motivated, trained instructors will guide you through the course and teach you the necessary skills. Experienced kiters feel just as comfortable with us as beginners do and come back to Silvaplana again and again.

Our kite and snowkite school has been in existence since 1993. Here you can find out more about our company and how it was founded. The story of how it came about that one of the first kite schools in the world was opened in Silvaplana and since then literally thousands have learned to kite surf here. By the way: Several professionals and kitesurfing instructors have also started kiting with us in Silvaplana.
