Kite surfing is a fascinating and trendy sport of great popularity! Would you like to discover something new? Do you love water and wind sports? Would you like to leave the everyday life behind you? Then you have come to the right place! We have been offering kite surfing courses for all levels for 20 years. We offer a wide range of kitesurfing courses for all levels of ability and requirements.
We have been teaching in Silvaplana since 1999 with great success. With a constantly improving lesson plan and the latest safety systems, we at Swiss Kitesurf can offer a course with a minimal risk of injury and optimal learning success. With us you will learn everything you need to know and be able to do to continue the sport independently and safely. With our large sandfree beach, the small waves, fresh lake water and the constant Maloja wind, Silvaplana is the ideal place to enter the world of kitesurfing!
The Hydrofoilboards push kiting in light wind conditions to a whole new level! From as little as 7-8 knots you can start gliding (skill and suitable equipment required).
Minimum requirements are good kite skills with upwind riding, jibes, toeside, transition and small controlled jumps!
These courses are usually only offered in low season. The lake is usually too busy during high season to offer foil courses.
You can take one-on-one private lessons or in pairs in semi-private lessons (alternating with a foil board). During this course you are in constant contact with the instructor by radio. We teach you individually according to your requirements or give you a prepared introduction to hydrofoiling. After a foil course with us you can rent foil boards with different setups and continue to practice on your own.
From only 5-8 knots the soft kites (mats) are stable at the zenith due to their extremely light weight. A good introduction to handling and trimming the kites will save you from many unpleasant situations in the water. Self rescue, assembly and disassembly as well as take-off and landing are the contents of this training - as well as steering, as well as the specific characteristics of the kite.
The minimum requirement is a good knowledge of steering kites and how to react to steering mistakes. Incoming airflow, stall, drag and slack are no longer foreign to you and you will gain a better feeling for soft kites.
After a softkite course with us you can rent softkites with different setups and continue to practice, test and gain experience.
