Kite surfing is a fascinating and trendy sport of great popularity! Would you like to discover something new? Do you love water and wind sports? Would you like to leave the everyday life behind you? Then you have come to the right place! We have been offering kite surfing courses for all levels for 20 years. We offer a wide range of kitesurfing courses for all levels of ability and requirements.

We have been teaching in Silvaplana since 1999 with great success. With a constantly improving lesson plan and the latest safety systems, we at Swiss Kitesurf can offer a course with a minimal risk of injury and optimal learning success. With us you will learn everything you need to know and be able to do to continue the sport independently and safely. With our large sandfree beach, the small waves, fresh lake water and the constant Maloja wind, Silvaplana is the ideal place to enter the world of kitesurfing!

What distinguishes the courses at Swiss Kitesurf?

Learning under real conditions (wind and risk assessment, set-up, launch, moving on land, deep water)
Our spot matches real conditions. The student learns how to set up and launch safely on land, to assess the conditions and to recognize possible dangers in the kite area. They will be able to move safely on land and in case of an emergency they will be the first to release the kite safely and make emergency landings. During the training the student learns to handle different situations in the water on his own. After the course every student is certified with a VDWS license, which confirms his current skills and can apply the knowledge and skills learned at other kite spots.
Newest material, latest technologies (no restrictions due to outdated technology)
The kites promise the easiest possible water start and have a direct but good-natured flight behaviour which makes it easy to get into the sport. The bar (steering system) has been developed for schooling and offers the highest possible safety together with the double quick release system which can be released in any situation with 3.5kg pull (neither children or seniors will have problems to release the kite). Of course all students are equipped with 5mm neoprene, boots, vests, helmets and harnesses. For private and semi-private lessons (optional) we also use radio helmets from BB-Talking. This way we can train the private students even better via radio and give direct instructions.
Highest possible safety with the latest equipment
Our safety systems ensure flawless handling in every situation and can also be triggered by children and elderly people with only 3.5kg force. The kites are produced in such a way that when released, the kite, together with the special bar (control element), crashes completely without force and other safety systems are usually not needed.
Trained instructors with years of experience
Our instructors are trained kitesurfing instructors who are supported by assistants. Some of the instructors have years of experience and are able to adapt the lessons to every student. There is no standard lesson
